jean michel Basquiat - "Most kings get their head cut off"

Jean-Michel Basquiat was an artist, born in 1960 in Brooklyn, New York.
Jean-Michel Basquiat's productive career spanned just one short decade, yet he is considered one of the best-known artists of his generation and one of only a small number of Hispanic-African-American artists to have achieved international recognition. Graduating from subway walls to canvas and from the streets of New York to the galleries of SoHo, the artist and his work will forever remain a mystery to those who seek explanation.

His work is very vibrant yet messy. It also shows forms of typography and other forms such as images and in his art work a story is told. The reason i have used Basquiat is because of his quote of "Most kings get their heads cut off".

Mufasa - king of pride

From listening to the the tribal sound track about a day ago, i visualised king...and with king i thought of Africa and with Africa i thought of Lion king and seeing the movie of lion-king i thought about the effects of the father "mufasa" being the king of pride, but in the end he dies, and his son "simba" becomes king.

Mufasa dies

next it is past onto his son

And with looking at lion-king i thought about the artist Basquiat who said most kings get their head cut off and it related with the lion-king movie...so i will be playing with this idea of the "king"...but will also relate to the soundtrack.

^^quote shown in this design above!

I am going to play with this king idea...and go for my own style..with adding slight humour towards it buy making them jump speak and shake. Instead of having the dead being cut off...i will have the kings crown fall off, which will be tipped over.
