Focusing on different ways to make repetitive patterns with just A5 paper. We were allowed to cut out paper, but not add or glue paper together. We Needed to find other ways to combine paper together.
Again, Looking at curves, but not only from the exterior but also from the interior as shown here. The pieces developed here looks like a rib cage but in a slightly different way. I quite like the effect i have created because of the different levels of how the paper have been cut.
My designs: Decided to cut a few lines in between a box and folding each corner to see what effect i got...and this is how it turned out. Looks like a shell to be honest. bottom: Again work from Sweeney which has inspired me. Use of curves is excellent.
Top three: Mt designs are focusing on repition as well as shape. Shape which i have used is triangle. Technique used: forming slits in centre of triangle, next sliding triangle in slits.
last to bottom: Sweeney design which has got me to think about shape within my work. 2nd last to bottom: Works from the Bauhaus (Herbert Bayer) A peice which focuses on shapes.
Well its all about paper art! Coming across a random piece from the net which i very much like and works from Richard Sweeney which has also inspired me.
